Why Ebridge?

eBridge Montessori School is an independent private school located in Westborough, Massachusetts since 2005. We offer a full range of high quality Montessori education to children from 6 weeks to 9 years old.

eBridge is the bridge in education so that children, families, educators, and members of our community can connect and work together. At eBridge, we strongly believe that all people live in a global village and are increasingly interconnected. We strive to build a community that reflects and celebrates a full range of diversity. We serve families from Westborough and throughout the Metro west Boston area including Northborough, Southborough, Shrewsbury, Marlborough and Hopkinton.

People often ask, why “eBridge”? Our goal is to build an educational bridge that connects children, families, and educators as a community supporting optimal development and learning for our students.

eBridge Montessori School was founded in 2005 by Jin Huang, a computer software engineer and a mother of two children. She visited local Montessori Schools when her children were young. Although impressed by the Montessori environment, she couldn’t choose a Montessori education for them because the schools didn’t offer morning and after-school care to accommodate her full time work schedule.

In 2003, the startup company where she worked closed, prompting Jin to conduct more research about Montessori education and reflect on her career path. After careful consideration, Jin decided to dedicate to education and open a Montessori school tailored to working families’ needs.

To gain the best possible Montessori training, Jin enrolled in a year-long AMI primary training in Hartford, CT, approximately 80 miles from her home, in 2004. With her family’s support, she studied Montessori education, searched for space, hired teachers, purchased materials, hosted parent sessions, and prepared for the school’s opening in the fall of 2005, immediately after completing her training.

eBridge has been growing since:

  1. In 2005, eBridge opened with 17 children in one primary classroom (Cedar).
  2. In 2006, eBridge opened the second primary classroom (Birch).
  3. In 2008, eBridge expanded and opened the third primary classroom (Dogwood).
  4. In 2010, eBridge opened the first toddler classroom (Hickory) and the elementary classroom (Elm).
  5. In 2013, eBridge expanded and opened the second toddler classroom (Juniper).
  6. In 2014, With a waiting list for primary, eBridge decided to put the elementary program on hold and opened the fourth primary classroom (Maple).
  7. In 2017, eBridge expanded to Suite 130 and opened the CHOICE program and the fifth primary classroom (Pine).
  8. In 2018, eBridge opened the third toddler classroom (Teak).
  9. In 2019, eBridge opened the first Infant classroom (Linden).
  10. In 2020, eBridge closed from March to August due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the fall, the school resumed operations with distance learning,  three primary classrooms and two toddler classrooms.
  11. In 2022, eBridge expanded to the second floor and opened all five primary classrooms, 4 toddler classrooms and 1 infant classroom.

We provide high-quality Montessori environments empowering children at four levels:

  • Infants:  (6 weeks to 15 months);
  • Toddlers (15 months to 2.9 years);
  • Primary (2.9 years to 6 years old);
  • Elementary (6 years to 9 years old).

In order to provide an authentic Montessori School environment to our children, we offer a variety of programs to meet the varying needs of families.

  • Half day (8:30 am – 12:00 pm)
  • Full day (8:30 am – 3:00 pm)
  • Morning care (8:00 am to 8:30 am)
  • After school care (3:00pm – 6:00pm/primary; 3:00pm-5:30/toddler)
  • Extended care for professional development, February and April break
  • Summer program
  • Kindergarten and Elementary Chorus
  • After school enrichment classes including Art, Music, Movement, and Spanish, etc.

eBridge Montessori School is open Monday to Friday, from 8am to 6pm.

eBridge is located at 57 East Main Street, Suite 101, in Westborough. We are on route 30 near route 9 and Lyman street. We are easily accessed from Interstate 495 and the Mass Pike.

The school has ample space for the children both indoors and outside. Our classrooms are equipped with purposefully designed and aesthetically appealing materials that inspire children into exploration, engagement, and learning. We support and empower children by offering consistency and order in all our spaces and ensuring that the environment are motivating without being overstimulating. Each of our classrooms has a bathroom and two sinks.

Our large fenced outdoor playground is located quietly in the back of the building. It was recently renovated with beautiful, clean and soft artificial turf to allow children to play and have fun with the highest safety. Children enjoy the wooden climbing structure, big sandbox, bicycles, tires, etc.

eBridge is proud to have a group of highly trained, dedicated, and committed professionals who are passionate about Montessori education and love working with children. Our staff members come from different countries and continents, bringing a wealth of diversity and cultural experiences to our community. Many of our team members have been with eBridge for several years, demonstrating their loyalty and commitment to our mission..

Most of our administrators and lead teachers have received training from Association Montessori International (AMI) training centers, which uphold the highest standard of Montessori education as established by Dr. Montessori.

Most of our assistant teachers are certified by the Department of Early Education and Care (DEEC) and bring years of experience in traditional early childhood education. They possess the skills and sensibilities to guide young children in a Montessori environment. They bring a diverse range of talents to our our classrooms, enriching the learning experience for our children.

eBridge has a very diverse group of families that reflects the community in the MetroWest area. Our children and families are from Westborough, Northborough, Shrewsbury, Southborough, Marlborough, and other surrounding towns.

The Montessori philosophy is based on a high level of respect for the individual child, their experience, and the pattern of development. Our teachers are keen observers trained to discern the child’s developmental needs and match those with the appropriate experience of our curriculum.

Each classroom is multi-aged, thus children have a long-term, multi-year relationship with their teachers that supports optimal development and learning. The children’s learning is supported by the multi-age community of children on many levels. The younger students provide older children with opportunities to grow in empathy, responsibility, and leadership. The older children and their work provide role models for the younger children to aspire toward in their academic work and behavior within the classroom community.

The Montessori Curriculum covers five key learning areas, including Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language, Culture (including science, geography, music, art, history, etc.)
